it's quite boring to always post about myself so today i decided to write about some beauty info that i know to share to everyone.. :)
my face is dry skin type and i have small pores.. it's because my skin type is dry, so i barely have acnes but BLACKHEADS..
i can tell you, it's my nightmare whenever i look myself into the mirror as close as the mirror touches my nose.. >.< even places near my nose (area between the cheeks and nose) i can still see some blackheads..
blackheads are actually white in colour but i don't know why they're called BLACKheads.. but if it's not taken care of for a long time, the white heads will then turn into black colour which we called blackheads.. it turns into black colour because everyday we are
exposed to polluted air especially when we walk across the streets, the smoke from the vehicles and cigarettes "torture" our skin and causes the pores to be clogged by those dusts in the air..
so, a few frequently asked question i can think of are,
1)
how to minimize large pores??
if you're born to have large pores (genetic factor) then you HAVE large pores.. anyway, if you have them, then you should carefully take care of your skin because pores can get bigger than you actually have.. it's because when your pores are clogged, then
they can stretched to become bigger..
so, use cleanser with exfoliator or what we called scrub to exfoliate the clogged pores and dead skin cells for once a week. (don't use it everyday cause it dries the skin and causes wrinkles) i did some research and found out that small percentage of salicylic acid can actually unclogged your pores by targeting the stratum corneum. Stratum corneum is the outermost layer of your skin. When applied to this layer,
salicylic acid act as a peeling agent, breaking down a protein and loosening dead skin cells.
some people might think that they wish to have dry skin type when they have oily skin..
yes,
oily skin can cause acne but having oily skin when you're old can keep your skin from having wrinkles too fast. (i didn't say that people with oily skin type won't have wrinkles but slower than the people with dry skin type. so, don't be upset because both skin type have their goods and bads)
2)
When it comes to buying facial sunblock, is it the higher SPF the better?
absolutely not.. maybe you will realise that even though you applied sunblock but still, your skin got darker than before after your activities under the sun.. actually sunblock is not to 'whiten' or totally blocking the UVA and UVB from entering your skin that makes your skin darker. it's actually to protects your skin from getting damage. Go for SPF 20-25. It is the average one except if you go for swimming or sports activities get higher SPF because you sweat along the time. If just normal use, no need to buy too high SPF because
higher SPF have more oil means less moisture.
3)
Does chocolate cause acne?
Well, it's not true. It's the dairy in the chocolate that flares acne. Dark chocolates won't. Instead, dark chocolates are full of antioxidants! They are also good for your heart and brain.
4)
How to cure acne scars?
Erm.. there's 2 basic ways i found in the internet. i tried before and it really work!
First one, apply lemon juice on skin for 10-15 minutes and you're done!
Second one, apply mixture of tomato juice, cucumber juice and milk powder can also help in getting rid of acne scars.
However, you need to do few times to really make your acne scars fade away.
Avoid having food with too much of salt, sodium, msg, and soy sauce because they tend to darken your scars.
Or if the scar is there on your skin for quite a long time then you're advised to visit your dermatologist for professional treatment :P
random thought: sometimes the products after using them, your skin have breakouts. it doesn't mean that the products have problem. it's that the products are really cleaning you skin. even though you see your skin clean and clear on the outside but actually there's many dirty things under your skin and they're trapped inside. so the products force the dirts out from your skin. *this is what my dermatologist told me*
looks like my blog of the day is quite long >.<
anyway, last advice, to anyone out there with dry skin please drink more water and eat more fruits (i don't really like fruits) or maybe get some yogurts. these are the cheapest skincare you can get :)
PS: these are written based on my experience, advise from my dermatologist and research. you can believe it or just read it for fun!
